Turbo install this weekend

Most Mazdas 5-speed trannies are nothing but 4-speeds with an OD. I know of many MX-6s that have blew their near bulletproof F2Ts in 5th treating it as an extra gear going 130+mph. As long as your not at WOT for too long, I wouldnt worry too much about it. I only go into 5th when I'm at a steady speed on the highway or otherwise I'm in 4th.

Saw your P5 the other day, s*** looks clean! I want it!

Thanks Tyler, much appreciated! Had my first hiccup today. I was going up a big hill before my house, and some ass in a pickup decided to ride my ass. I nailed it and took off as usual, then all of a sudden I felt/heard a pop. The car instantly started running like absolute s***. It sputtered it's way onto a side road where I popped the hood and saw what had happened. The cold side IC pipe came off in the middle (Tony cut it to relocate the MAF, I haven't done this yet). Thank god I had my screwdriver in the glove compartment, I just tightened that b**** back up and she was good to go!

Gotta love those easy fixes!!

The Racing Beat is great. I need to tighten it up a little as it seems to get louder when it gets hot. So it must be expanding & creating a gap in one of the joints. Otherwise it's money well spent.

Well, not as well spent as on a turbo, but close enough. (cheers)

the first day i had the same problem... lol.. the cold side where it tucks in the fender and goes the the intercooler popped off, hit 3psi then pop.. no boost... simple fix..
