Turbo install this weekend

Ahahahahaha, excellent guys! I've been out driving her around, enjoying the benefits. There's a few things that need to be tweaked, but she really is running great. The first thing I have to fix is the oil return line. I cut it short by about an inch and a half so it's leaking a tiny bit of oil. I've been checking the oil level all day and it's been fine, but still needs to be fixed. Gotta finish hooking up the turbo timer, 3 more wires! The check engine light is on, I'm not sure why, everything is hooked up. Well, there's a 6 pin connector below the battery that I have not found one friggin place to hookup to. I checked everywhere it could possibly connect, nothing. Any ideas? Other than that, she runs just like she did day 1, except a little more user friendly. ;) It's holding steady at 5psi with an occassional jump to 6-7 when I get on it. I'm incredibly satisfied and you guys are right, it was def worth all the hard work, blood, sweat and tears! Some new pics, I'll take more, and I forgot to put the strut tower back on before I took these, ha!

So far would you say it's worth the money? You said "it was worth the blood, sweat and tears" but is it worth the $'s? C'mon man you gotta sell me here. I have been contemplating this for a while now. I need to know this is a must do.

Tough to say... I've only had it for a day, so I'm still getting used to it. I don't know what kind of troubles, if any, it's going to give me down the road and that will obviously factor in. I spent around 2k for everything and I actually bought a couple things I didn't need. I just started buying things peice by peice and I had it all after about 5 months. I'll def let ya know as time goes by.

Huge difference in power once boost kicks in. It's like before the turbo, after about 3500 rpm's my car would give me the middle finger, ain't no way I was going any faster. Now it hit's around 3500 and just keeps going and then some, it's amazing!

you sure that connector that is hangin isn't the other sensor (not the MAF connector) that went on the stock air box? or SRI if you had one of those.

Awesome! You should paint the intercooler black... it'd look sick. Keep us updated on how you like it and stuff, like what kind of MPG you get. Very curious!

very nice...did u replace both of your radiator fans or only one of them?...

Both fans were replaced, I'm gonna get better pics of everything. I had the stock intake previously, so the IAT sensor can just hang? and is that what's causing my cell, cuz she's purring like a kitten!

did you put coolant back in that bottle? it's empty in the pic but could be before you were done.

probably want to just start getting the codes read from auto zone or wherever before you stab at the problem.

oh ya!!!:)

I have seen ppl mount turbos with stock fans. How would you rate the fitment on the AWR slim fans. I like those since they say its a direct fit.

The stock fans were way too thick. Whoever is using the stock fans isn't running the msp turbo kit. The high performance fans are real nice, I'll get a better pic of them in the morning. The radiator fan sounds like a jet engine! After driving her a lot today, I can honestly say I have never enjoyed the car more. Although the downside is buying premium gas and watch the needle go down when I'm having fun. The turbo and bpv are freakin loud, it sounds so mean! I'm using the reflex diverter bpv, it sounds like a mix of turkey and hks ssqv. I think I'm gonna get personalized plates that say gobblz, lol! ;) I was just on my way home from hangin w/ the guys when a kid in a taurus revved his engine at me. I went w/ him for a little while, but I'm still somewhat timid of really getting on it. About 50' down the road we slowed down and he told me he used to own a MSP! I told him how I had just finished the install and gave him another sample, haha.

from MSP to Taurus? :'(
I know. He said the insurance was killing him. That's why I told him you buy the wagon and boost that! (first)
