Turbo inlets

I have been seeing a lot of new turbo inlets being released to the market. Obiviously they make the same power gains. I was thinking about getting the Medieval inlet becasue it's the cheapist.

What would you guys think?

Even at the $99 asking price I thought there were too many flaws in the design. Most install pictures I have seen show the intake coupler stretched at odd angles, but adding an extra elbow would mess with the mounting location of almost any intake. They also don't seem to have the connector for the wastegate actuator hose anywhere on the pipe. I went with the HTP one (there's a thread about it in the forced induction section... where people generally find turbo/turbo parts related questions) because it has the angle at the top incorporated as one piece, all the openings and mounts are spot on with the stock locations, and uses the rubber grommet in it's top mounting point instead of being a hard connection directly to the engine. I was able to justify paying a higher price, while still much less than the RPMC inlet, because i felt it was just a better product all around.

EDIT: Not sure if the medieval inlet and darkstar inlet are the same, but it looks like the darkstar one has the wastegate hose connector, all other design features/flaws seem to apply.

darkstar markets medieval products i believe.
Thank you for the clarification.

Im not familiar with this part . . . will it help more than a CAI ?
It's the pipe that goes between your intake and your turbo. The stock one is really boxy and restrictive, just like the factory intake. You get the most gains doing both an intake and a new inlet pipe to free up any restrictions before the turbo.

I ordered mine over a week ago and havent heard anything. I might back out and go with cobb or cp-e

we're doing a "fire sale" on the RPMC, they are clearing them out now at 150 a pop seeing that Cobb and CPe have hit the streets

You couldn't have mentioned that last week so I could have just thrown one of those on the order with my nano and rear mm? Just for that I demand free shipping from this point forward... wait, you guys already do that :).

I'm waiting to see what Cobb has to offer. The CP-E one looks great from the pictures. Cobb doesn't look much different and they're both around the same price.

i'll be recieving a cobb inlet by the end of the week or early next week. will be doing a how to install as well as a review.

Its on their site, but its only under the MS3 section. There's no reason why the pipe won't work for us though.

I'm pretty sure I'll be ordering a Cobb inlet or the RPMC this weekend. I'll be mating it up to the MS CAI and will post impressions and reviews when done.

I have the Darkstar Motorsports one on the way, got it in the group buy. Hope it works out!
