Ok Since I installed my inlet my boost has been running low, right around 12psi in 6th when I'm hard on it. The only problem I see if the hose off the nipple on my SRI. It's a bit deformed and doesn't sit properly on the bit anymore. It ran a bit better when I jammed it back on there but I went under the hood again today and it was pretty loose again. Does this sound like something that would cause me to have low boost? Thanks for any help? Oh and I tired to get some zip ties and close up the end of the hose that way but they were all junk and didn't work. I just want to know if I'm barking up the right tree. Thanks everyone

Ya it sounds like you're just running on wastegate spring pressure so the boost solenoid is not being used. The hose that goes from your intake pipe to the solenoid has gotta be leaking ... are you sure it's even connected to the solenoid? That has 2 nipples on it and the hose from the inlet goes to one of those nipples and they're infamous for breaking off easy.

Yeah it's connected. It's the little section that elbows, goes to the longer section then feeds in. The short intake section is belled out at the end. I'l try to secure it and see if that makes a difrence. Thank you!

Can you post a picture so that we know what exactly you
are talking about?

when i put my inlet on mine did the same thing , i tightened everything and made sure i crossed all my t's and dotted all my i's but it didnt fix it

your BPV tightened enough? do you hear it at all when you boost? how about turbo sound, does it sound like its workin to its max or just a little?

I can take a pic of it in the morning. It's too dark now and I have no garage. I here teh BOV but now when I let off the gas, sometimes it's the normal pffftttt and sometimes it's kinda squeaky. That's the onyl real diffrence in sound noticed. Also what kind of has me at a disadvantage is that I just cut my CAI down to make it a SRI so the sounds in general are diffrent for me.

AMS38U did you just go back to stock?

Hey I'm just looking for a quick way to find out why my boost is Fed up. I saw a hose that looked messed up and tried to fix it. Cheapass Walmart zip ties are junk though. I have to try something diffrent tomorrow

I think I may have fixed the problem. I for a hose clamp and zipped up the part I was talking about. There were actually a few clamps that needed a little tightening down. A bigtime dumbass move but I did the install outside when I was sick as hell. Lesson learned...I'm lucky I didn't really mess something up. Anyway... I just scooted through town and HOLLLYYY HELLLL I see what everyone is talking about. It feels like a diffrent car all together. I'll have a chance later to take it on the highway and watch my boost gauge.

This is what was I was talking about. I hose clamped it and it's god t go now.

so you where loosing boost because of the valve cover vent hose?

No,
Actually if you look at where the fitting is located, it's behind the MAF sensor. That would allow air into the intake stream un-metered by the MAF. Go Lean Kashi?
