Turbo cooling after shut off??

turbo timers arent really that much required unless you are overly impatient. waiting for a minute or two will help out a lot, not now, not next year or maybew 2 years from now, but believe me it'll help increase the longevity of the turbo. my old talon utilized its stock turbo for 14 years. mostly thanks to the fact that the guy before me always 'cooled' it down a minute or so and so did i. turbo never blew on me either i switched it out for a bigger one. i had an 97 eclipse with 160k miles on the turbo with no probs too. its always the little things that count when it comes to cars. no matter how you drive the car its always a better idea to let it idle. and buy a turbo timer if your impatient. i dont know why there has to be a huge thread on it lol. 'cooling' the turbo down is always the best thing to do, not a suggestion, a high recommendation.
