Turbo Anyone???

I am having a blast customizing my 98 mazda protege but I am finally in a delimma. I want to find out if there is a turbo manifold out there for this year of protege. If any one out there is able to help out a fellow mazda owner with any info and specs it would be greatl appreciated. You can email me @ wakeboarder21_7@hotmail.com with any answers.

Not Bought, But Made

I haven' bought the turbo because I have a guy down the street from me that can make one for my car but i have to find out how to get ahold of a turbo manifold for my car before he can start my days of forced induction.

Why don't you stop by www.clubprotege.com . There are at least two people right now adding turbo to thier 95-98 Proteges. Also, another person already finished his. They all did an engine swap to 1.8L also, because 1.5L is useless.

if you know a welder... There is a place that you can get a log manifold from ( I think ) for the 1.5L .. (once again I think) ...
You would just have to have it welded together.

If you are near Arizona you can contact Mental Addiction motorsports. (on this board as MAmotorsports) .. They would love to help you out.

But I don't know what motor you have, I figure it's a 1.5 as that's whats common.

those rims were 5 ziegen gt8's.
I got rid of them because the tires went to holy hell due to the coilover days ...

I am going to update to lightweight 15" wheels with low profile tires. Front and rear bumpers need to be repainted as well as the lip.
That picture is about 2 years old. The tint is also gone to ...

The car got a 1.5 to 1.8L swap and I am now in the process of building a custom turbo kit, which I am working closely with Mental Addiction motorsports to get completed.

New pics will surface when it's all said and done.

if anyone is interested in swapping to a manual, i'm selling a 1.8 tranny, lightened fly, and ACT street clutch, clutch slave, and axles for 500$ plus shipping
