As the title says we liked the Icy Blue Metallic on the showroom floor and when we test drove the CX-7 were surprised by the color/warmth of the copper red mica. We've never been fans of red cars but this looked special.
I have not seen any copper red mica cx-7's on the road so I don't know how it looks dirty or gently used. Same for the Icy Blue Metallic. Was wondering if anyone could give us some feedback on the pros and cons of the two colors especially when it comes to showing dirt, light scratches, and the long term effect of sunlight on the two colors - I'm a bit afraid the copper red mica may turn a more dullish red and lose its warmth/glow. I've got a fresco green passat (light green metallic) that has held up very well so I am a bit more comfortable with the icy blue in terms of long term performance.
It looks like the Icy Blue Metallic is a rarer color - only one in the general area (120 miles away) area versus 10 of the copper red - its just that a local dealer may give me a great deal on the copper red as they have it on the floor and then we may need to make up our minds. Indecision, indecision...!
Thanks
