WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET RID OF TRUNK VIBRATION ON THE REGULAR PROTEGE. I HAVE 2 12"LICKER L7'S AND A 1200 WATT PHOENIX GOLD AMP AND MY WINGS WEST SPOILER IS ABOUT TO FALL OFF FROM THE VIBRATION....ANY HELP????::wtf:

Ditch the spoiler. thats the only way. You can try to isolate it abit with weather stripping tape but it will still rattle like crazy. Many compeditors use sound deading then actual fiberglass to make a trunk lid mold for a show peice or to reinforce the lid. The trunk itslef will need a done of dynamat and the underbody kits/bumper also will need weather stripping and bulking up. Of coarse this can weight it down so make sure the body peices are properly supported.

yeah

my car being the pile of s*** that it is, rattles like a b****

I put dyna-mat on my trunk lid, my liciences plate and filled part of my trunk with expanding foam and it worked out pretty good

my trunk lid no longer rattles
but thats the only thing that doesnt rattle

Another option is to use carpet padding. It sounds kinda redneckish, but it really works. It's also alot lighter than dynamat and cheaper too. I had a '86 s-10 blazer. I filled the tailgate with some, it stopped all vibration and made the bass alot crisper and cleaner.
