It was a regular English Escort with Cossie wheels on it. I seem to remember that the picture had actually been photoshopped.

Yes its is Photo shoped. The reason I know is I have unfortunatly hit a few trees in my younger yrs and if he was going that fast in a 2800+ pound car it would have snapped that little tree. Now, you should have seen the mess that 200 yr old oak tree did to you 81 f100. I slid of a gravel road doing about 50 fish tailed an hit it dead on. That HURT! Bearly even messed up the bark.

no skid marks..it slid sideways but the ground doesn't tell the same story. no way that tree would of take a hit like that. Especially the way the car is wrapped around the tree, the force required to accomplish that would certainly snap that tree in twain.

It had gone airborne. There was 2 or 3 more pictures of this from diffrent angles and in a few you could see the marks on the road and edge of the grass where it left the road.
