Man, that sux. At least noone got hurt. You have a great attitude about the whole thing. A car is a car, and everyone made it out safe and sound. That's the most important part. If they do total it, are you going to be selling parts or looking for another P5 ? I sooo would like those MP3 wheels. One of the best looking rims on a P5 in my opinion.

I'm not sure what I'd do if they total it. I'd probably try to buy something a little cheaper and save some money for when I move up to Montreal either at the end of this year or the end of 2009. But I really want my car back!

Well I spoke with him today. It also misses you and says come back, Conneticut blows, look what it did to your P5
pretty much any time you make the insurance company pay money your premium is going to go up
When I dropped my bike, i was the only one involved, didn't involve the police though. Just picked it up and took it to the mechanic. Called insurance, they sent an inspector to the shop and fork'd over $1900 in repairs to a $2700 bike. Premiums strangly went down. Same with the Jeep. After being in a wreck, hit and run, although no damage happened to the Jeep, premiums went down as well. I didn't question it.

tylor, apparently your insurance company's business plan is a bit skewed lol
State Farm-I am not questioning it cause they still payout when I need em. But, I've been with em since I was 16, now 24 and my parents have been with them since the early 90's I believe. I've had 4 different vehichles insured with em and my parents nearly a dozen. So, we've been good customers. I guess it pays off for us
Forgot to add, I've had my license suspended for a year due to street racing, a speeding ticket, and my wife also has a speeding ticket. And, on the last bill, it went down $3. I don't get it, but, once again, not gonna question it.
After losing my license, we called to ask how it would affect my premiums. The ladie on the phone that we've delt with for the past 10 years told me, "We'll pretend we didn't have this conversation. Unless you make changes to your policy, we're not gonna look up your record to make adjustments." So, i forgot i talked to her and premiums went down.

i know how you feel. Some soccer mom ran into the back of my car when I was completely stopped. After being in the shop for 2 weeks longer than expected (unibody pull, suspension problems, etc.) I was so happy to be back in MY car, not the crummy rental cars I had.

first thought that crossed my mind was... damn... White P5's are hawt...i really like how your car looks...err... looked... that is prolly one of the best P5s ive seen... those tail lights make the car look even better... even though it was kissing the tree it still looked good... and the snow accents it so well... this sux... hope you get ur baby back! maybe even adopt its evil twin (a boosted P5 )

there was a while when a whole bunch of p5s were getting into accidents or getting broken into or vandalized and whatnot. thus the beginning of the p5 curse.
someone brought up a really good idea actually, that if the car isn't totaled, and the insurance pays for new headers (which OEM ones are $700ish), I might as well just chip in a little bit more and buy a turbo kit. I have always wanted to be a msp5...hmmm...whitemsp5seattle...kinda has a ring to it lol

At least you've got a good outlook about the whole ordeal. I have State Farm too and they've been super nice about my fender bender (that I still haven't been able to fix) So hopefully, your guys will be easy on you.
