Transmission shutter?

Sometimes when going into 1st from a complete stop I hear an odd kind of shutter. Not like the entire car shaking when you don't have gas but just a bit of a vibration. Only happens from a dead stop into first, no other gear. Anyone else experience that?

I occasionally get something like this with mine (auto), however it's new and I understand it's trying to clutch itself into and out of gear. Mine is very mild but I'll keep a close watch on it. Is yours a manual or auto?

if your on a hill and you have the clutch in and your foot on the brake, the car will hold the brake for a tiny bit as you set off so you don't roll back. at first i was kind of like, what the hell? but now i dont mind it, its actually kinda nice.

I only have mine a little over a month. A about 2 weeks ago, the traffic was crawling on NJ TPKE, I felt a shudder and thought I got bumped. I got out of the car and told the guy behind me that he bumped me. He said emphatically that he never did. I checked the bumper and nothing. Felt embarrassed about the whole thing! Why did the car do this???

im not talking about that, there is a distinct noise mine made. especially when it was colder. possible clutch chatter?

I have had the same thing happen 4-5 times. First two times I thought I was hit also. It seems like a hard high pressure related shift into first gear then quickly out of first gear. Not happy there is a problem but glad that I am not imagining it. Going to take a lot of online documenting to flush this out....
