Transformers

the only reason the critics didnt like the movie was because it lacked content, deep meaning, and all that other stuff critics look for in movies. it wasnt meant to have the greatest story line of all time. it was produced to be a cool, flashy, special effects movie. its trasnformers for gods sakes....

movie was good. there was plenty of content: robots and explosions. want deep meaning? how's about a teenager wanted to be accepted by his peers just like every other teenager in hi school right now. take it for what it is, a summer blockbuster meant to rake in the dough. hell even the original transformers was created to sell a hasbro toy line. but that shouldnt prevent you from enjoying 2 and a half hours of fun for 1 day. and if any of your are pissed at michael bay for fussing up the original transformers designs, dreamworks and ILM had just as much creative input as bay--they made their movie, their way.

Lord I hope they don't do dinobots. They should do the whole unicron story with starscream. As long as they don't do the whole roddimus prime and galvetron crap.

The reason Megatron was a plane was because thats what he was originally. The whole gigantic gun thing came later. The only thing that was different was devastator.

Bottom line, who cares, the movie shreds. Barricade and starscream FTW.

I'm going to guess that Megatron and Devastator will come back in the next one. Soundwave will bring them back...haha.

i wanna see 3 of those preview movies. the monster invasion, i am legend and the ping pong movie with christopher walken.

as far as a sequal, im going to agree with the unicron idea and megatron will become galvatron

i freaking loved it....it was one of the most amazing movies i have seen in a while...the only complaint i have is that they held megatron in the hover damn...then they drove "30 miles" to "mission city" california...well having lived in and around that area for for 12 years i know that the only parts of california that are within 100 miles of there are uninhabited desert...but had in otherwise been ignorant to this fact...it was amazing.

Micheal Bay...............Still Sucks

Anyone notice how there was wayyy too many product placement (besides GM)?

That's true, but how else are they supposed to make a movie believeable? Use fake products that don't exist?

Noticed, didn't care!

Yep!
Bay's last movie "The Island" was full of Mazda cars in it in the background.
Apprently, everyone drives a Mazda in the future except the cops and the super rich people.

This movie is a perfect exmple of how the majority of film critics have absolutely no clue what the american public want to actualy watch.

The only reason the movie industry is in trouble is because they listend WAY to much to those ass clowns.

The movie had ALOT of flaws in plot but my movie ticket said, "Big ass Robots beating the s*** out of each other, show time at 8:10."
Thats exactly what I got. The insanely hot peice of ass and the funny stuff was a major bonus.

The problem I have with the critics is that they want this major plot developement and character development crap. The movies main character is teeenager thrown into this situation of huge robots that want to kill him or want something from him and there is no time for developement it in the course of events. I know whenever galactic robots come from outerspace and tell me to get moving I LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont usualy use it as a time to share personal thoughts over coffee

Couldn't agree more. Transformers was a rollicking good time! I'm so glad I'm not a movie critic. Those guys all seem to have really painful sticks up their you know where.

dude i felt sorry when the one transformer died(dont want to ruin it) but on the real megatron was a straight savage when he did it...optimus prime was never a match for megatron DECEPTICONS FRIGGIN RULE!

I haven't heard any critic reviews of it, cuz I stay away from that stuff but what wierds me out is one person I cannot convince to see the movie. I mean it doesn't piss me off, but for some reason this person is entirely not interested in the seeing the movie. Oh well their loss.
