tranny fluid

Seriously. I could see it freeing things up and making the tranny more efficient, but I find it hard to see a gain even at the brakes.

might decrease drive train loss? (dunno)

Horsepower is lost in the transmission. Maybe it could slightly reduce what is lost. One of you guys should do a before and after dyno to see if there are any hp gains, LOL. (poke)

I just filled up with 3 bottle of Royal purple, good stuff, tranny seems to be a little smoother, I used 3 bottles only a little spilled out then, make sure when you are filling the trans that the car is on the ground, if you have it up in the air the fluid will go to the back of the tranny and there will have to be more fluid in there before it will spill out...

As for the brake light, my MSP did that also when my pads were getting low, it takes more fluid to move the pads when they are lower and under hard breaking or hills the fluid would go below the sensor and set off the warning light, simply top off the fluid and the light will stop but change you pads soon too...

As for the Royal purple adding HP, it is possible, if it frees up some of the friction and drive train loss you will gain some HP, probably not a great deal but 1 HP is enough for them to advertise it on the bottle

towards the front of the car there is a bolt that is the same size as the drain bolt, it is kinda angled downward, that is it!

There are two bolts for the fluid, its one right above the other. 23mm I always forget so don't quote me. You'll need a funel with a long hose to refill the fluid.

the fill plug is up and to the right of the speed sensor.

As for filling it with fluid, goto the auto parts store and buy a pump, its like 10 bucks.

I just replaced my fluid last week with royal purple 75w90. It has helped a ton in the cold weather. Its also a lot smoother and easier to shift between gears.
