Tranny blues...

well, my mp3, on almost 30k miles, had me living with the impression that the inicial grinding from 1st to 2nd year was almost gone or not very perceptible... but i guess as cold weather approaches, the grinding is back :(
usually it gets better after driving for a while, but im noticing is not getting that much better now. Its only and it has always been when going from 1st to 2nd...

so, any other mp3/p5 out there suffering the same sympthoms? if so, what to do?

well, as far as i remember, some of us had the same problem since day one, some said short shifter made it better, others said drain the tranny oil and put some redline in there, etc.

But if it keeps behaving like this i might take it to the dealer, because they cant come up with the usual "we could not reproduce the problem" now that is obvious. (when i took my car to the dealer sometime around beginning of summer this year, to have the bushings fixed i also told them about it, and that was their answer... )

Get Redline Superlight Weight Shock Proof Tranny fluid. It will look like popcorn butter. Get a gallon, and contact me if you don't go to the dealer.

thx linux. any idea where can i get the Redline Superlight Weight Shock Proof Tranny fluid in the area? or do i have to order it from the internet?

Go to :Motorsport Sales They are in Richardson. They supply all the tunner shops in the area that may or may not have it in stock. They ALWAYS have it in stock. Bing cash for an added bonus!;)
