They've come a long way, but point taken...personally I think most of the SUVs on the road are ugly as hell.
My P5 has a roof rack...tie the dogs up there and you're all set. They're gonna stick their heads out the window anyway ;) Minivans come with them too.

I don't know, nothing against you personally. I just can't stand the abundance of SUVs on the road driven by people that don't need them. They don't fit in normal parking spaces (which means more dents in people's doors and bumpers), they provide poor visiblity dispite their height, they are prone to rollovers, and they are unsafe to other cars on the road due to their height.
yes what you say is somewhat true. but my wife drives responsible, and hates minivans. so that doesnt leave many options, and although the protege has some decent room, if i ever have to move ALL my equipment, i really need a truck.

Its that kind of mentality that I don't understand. You would save so much money on gas and the overall price of the vehicle if you bought a small car and rented a truck or trailer for that one time you have to move ALL your equipment.

I've been having this same conversation with my Dad who is about to sell his Bronco for another truck...he claims he needs it to go skiing. None of the kids are left in the house so its just him and my mom. I told him to get a Subaru with AWD if he's worried about driving in the snow.

im sorry i made that sound like it rarely happens, it happens pretty often. also i will be using her truck to tow my car to shows and probably tow it home when we drive 1200 miles home.
