Trade in GTI for MS3?

Plus even a fairly well modded GTI is still working to keep up with a Speed3.

Well, not really.........A $500-$600 Stage 1 ECU flash alone pretty much gives it equal power (250hp, 297 ft/lbs)...........I just did not really want to modify the ECU for warranty/reliability reasons........

Looking at dynos, you're not getting near the same power at the wheels (even considering drivetrain loss). Anyways, I'd say keep the GTI and mod it to your hearts content.

Fixed........And it is pretty much trade for the MS3 or mod the GTI now for me...........That Stage 1 ECU updgrade for like $500 is starting to look better and better...............

you're exactly right. It's a gem of a motor. You wonder why VW doesn't just have it around 230-240hp from the factory.

same 2.0 turbo engine...the r20t scirocco..here
keep the GTi. you can make some serious power out of that engine..if the 1.8T block can handle 585whp, then the 2.0T should make the same..
