Traction Control Issue

OK, so tonight in Oklahoma it was beyond crappy driving home. And when I got home, I got stuck in my neighborhood, no big deal, my brother got out and pushed and it was fine. However, after getting out, the Traction Control Light(swerving car) and the ABS light stayed on. I turned the car off, and back on, still staying solid. The manual says there could be a malfunction, but I'm wondering more specifically what it is. I know the online community tends to have a little bit more knowledge than the dealers and the manual. Thanks for the help in advance.

im guessing you got stuck in snow and you were trying to drive while being pushed, which means your tires were spinning.

if so, when your tires spin at different rates the system is gonna think something is going on, and the lights are gonna come up and stay solid. this would happen if you went on a dyno as well, since your fronts are moving and your rears are stationary.

i would suggest you either disconnect and reconnect the battery, or go for a 10-15 minute drive above 20 mph to see if it just goes away on its own. seeing how you're pobably dealing with snow i'd say just do the battery thing

thanks, I was thinkin I should just disconnect the battery. thats probably what I'll do, tom or something. It shouldn't hurt to drive on it, so I might get to work and do that or something, cuz it is freezing outside.
