Tracking your shipment

I apologize if this has been posted before. I just ordered a GT CX-5 with tech package. I have the VIN and was told it would be about 3 weeks for it to arrive. Is there any website where I can track it? Do you suggest contacting Mazda or my dealership? Thanks for any help.

I would ask the dealer if they have the following information though:

VIN
Production Date
Ship name

These pieces of information are provided to Mazda USA by Mazda Japan and is on their computer system. Armed with this information, it's very easy to determine arrival times. In Australia, this information is automatically given to the customer. But from reading this forum, I understand it's information that may not be given out in the US. It might be a question of "why would you want to know that?".

From manufacture to dock is about 5 days. From dock to US varies depending on route taken in Japan and ports for drop off in the US.

Use www.marinetraffic.com to track the ship.

Using this, I was able to estimate delivery to within a couple of days.

Explain the situation to the dealer and be honest how you're going to track the ship. They might even show interest and happily hand over the details once they realise how keen you are.
