Toyo Extensa HP sucks in snow

Toyo Extensa HP suck in deep snow, bad flashbacks to the oem Dunlops, worse than the Kumho ASX, not nearly as good as the Toyo Proxes 4. When it gets deep, these are bad for both starting and stopping.

They are quite good in hard rain, deep puddles at hwy speed, bit smoother ride than the Proxes 4 and just a bit less sharp when pushed hard.

Good 3 seasons choice.
Will NOT be on my car next winter.

Being poor has me off sequence now, with 2 new HP and 2 half tread P4. And half P4 is better in deep snow.

Why run all seasons in winter anyways, or in general for that matter. Snow tires are the only accepted tire in snow. I don't care what anyone says. Well at least for RWD and FWD cars, AWD cars can get away with some all seasons. I am always out in the snow just messing around. I run either Magnagrip tires or Blizzaks depending on the deal I get at the begining of the season. I can basically go anywhere I want. So I say buy a good sticky summer tire w/ good water displacement, and have a set of wheels with some nice tread Snow tires. I paid $180 for all 4 195/55/15 Magnagrips this year through my friend at tire warehouse. Last year I got 4 almost new Blizzaks on craigslist for $200 picked up. Just my .02

Yawn...

I've lived on the Cont Divide of CO and know snow tires.

This is simply a heads up post for others in areas of modest snow, so they can make a better decision about a tire that just came out this fall. Lots of people get around just fine on other AS tires (and I used to).

It does not matter what end they are on. You can have trouble getting going, or have trouble keeping the tail behind you.

Getting back to full employment will solve my problem, and I just drive extra careful until then.
