Towing trailer with CX-5

I pulled my 6 x 10 trailer to move my daughter out of college today. Trailer weighs about 1000 pounds put 5 to 600 pounds of stuff on it 300 mile round-trip 70 miles an hour all the way averaged about 17.8 miles to the gallon had no problems very impressed.

Type of terrain traveled?

Over 1000 lbs its supposed to have trailer brakes. Looks like you managed fine.

It will pull lots more and still get 17 mpg, but I'll recommend slowing down to under 65. The reduction in energy is a valuable increase in safety. I pull my RV at 62 on cruise control and watch the tranny temps.
