Total mounting depth in front doors of a P5 ??

What's the deepest I can drop in a 6.5" midbass speaker in my front doors without doing any cutting/modification? I won't be using an MDF or other baffle, either, just the factory spacers that comes with the mids.

I heard a while ago that it's 3.5"....is that correct?

I would say somewhere around 3". Just about any car audio 6.5" speaker will fit so Unless you're looking to install something exotic you won't have any trouble.
