Toronto Auto Show - orange MSP is there, how about any 2003.5s?

If Mazda was embarassed about the delay in delivering the cars they would have actually fixed the way they did it from when they delivered the MP3 and were months late....Dont buy the BS Mazda is just trying to be nice, until they actually do something about it I dont believe they actually care

Oh and the yellow and grey speed are the .5's without the fogs and the different spoiler...needless to say if you got the early orange one or you have a mp3 your lucky...the new mazdaspeed is ICK! (IMO) Its looks so much like and ES with a spoiler and thats about it...At least the MP3 and the Orange speed look different

I don't get it. Why do people write off the 2003.5 so fast and say their ugly. It's the same car, with a different spoiler, and no fogs, and an additional front lip that I'd be willing to bet some people are going to go out of their way to try to get.

Add fogs to the 2003.5....now what's so different.

Damn, I wish I could see these cars for myself.

I didn't actually go to the autoshow. I just saw a news report on TV that showed the orange one.
I had no idea until I read this thread that all 3 were there!!!! I can't wait to go (6 more days, just 6 more days)!
This will make it uber easy to make my decision on colour!

Newf ill try to remember on one of the days im there to go take some snaps of them...anything inparticular you want to see about them so i know whut to snap?

I write it off because i bought the MP3 because of its limited run and its look, im sorry but the mazdaspeed .5 just doesnt do it for me. I just dont like the look of it with what theyve done. I just think the old style (MP3 and 1st run of the orange) distinguised itself from normal proteges. The new ones dont. Im not lying either when I say i walked through the exhibit and right by the Mazdaspeeds once, then i started to look harder cuz i couldnt find them and saw that i had walked right by them without noticing. They look like an ES with a front lip and a spoiler....im not being a hater honest, just dont like this style IMO

I went today and WOW I absolutely love the orange mazdaspeed I actually stared at it for at least 20 minutes I can't wait for the delivery of mine, The wait is killing me especially since I saw one so close. The yellow and grey don't really do it for me orange suits the car best, It's funny a guy walked by with a friend and said it looks the same as my es just a different colour I had to stop him and give him the rundown, He was like WoW that is pretty damn cool, I also had to throw in that I was getting one soon Anyway just thought I'd say that, no pics though. Kurt, I hope I don't feel the same way about the 2003.5 after all this and after giving up an orange one.

I'm hoping once the fogs are in it, there's not going to be much difference between the 2003 and the 2003.5 except the obvious spoiler.

So, if your taking pics, the main things I want to see is

the spoiler at a couple of angles, to see if it really is that bad

the color up close, to see if it's really metallic like the Orange. Of course the Orange has pearl in it too, I'm assuming grey isn't going to have the same effect of the sparkles which would alter my decision quickly.

The wheels, to see if they are really too dark or not.

and a close up of the front bumper, or ducts straight on so I can see how small they are. Kinda got some of this though.

Ya never know, I might switch to yella yet

The grey does not sparkle...the yellow does very nicely...the orange is the better one

You guys are soooo lucky in TO. If I was rich, I'd fly up, take both the digital camera, and digital camcorder and just sit there until I decided.

Which would probably only take 5 mins once they were all in the same place.

You see, because my dealer is so small, I have to really know what I want before I order it, otherwise, they won't get one in. so, I'm actually kind of buying it before it gets here which sucks. I had to do the same thing with the MP3, but, with the MP3 it was easy. It's was the first of it's kind, it was my favorite color, it was just a no brainer decision......hmmmmm....p5...es...or MP3? Easy decision.

The grey did nothing for me but the yellow was nice, I don't like the spoiler on the 2003.5 and the front lip doesn't look all that good up close. I'm glad I decided to buy the orange one now that I have seen all 3 in person. I asked if I could see the turbo in the yellow car but the represenative said that he was not authorized to do so, He also said that there was no turbo in the grey or yellow ones they had there, because of the major delay on the turbos that is why the orange ones were so backed up.

I am in the same boat...the grey did nothing for me...but the yellow was nice...they would not let you in the car...we asked and a prospective customer who was there asked as well

I am going to the show sometime this week or weekend, I just got a new digital camcorder so I hope to get videos. I have to get a firewire adapter and cable first though so I can make them into mpegs. I will bring my digicam so I can get some pics also.

Just got back from the show...the Titanium IS awesome. I saw it at Detroit aswell and it was in messed up lighting there....and it looks 10x better in T.O. because the spotlights werent all over it. THe paint is darker....very close to the Audi's and Aston's. The yellow doesnt look that great in person....and the orange was just O.K.

Talked to some guy at Mazda, knew nothing....talked to another, still knew nothing. The first guy didnt even know that the MSP was even released to people yet, moron. Anyways, no word on release date either but one of the guys who I asked, which he seemed to be semi-educated, said that they were gonna be putting the metal piping on the 03.5's....I wont take that for a grain of salt until i see it aswell.

But, I'm not sure where you landed in NFLD. But man, here in C.B. we lost a LOT of snow about 2-3 weeks ago. We got about 3 days of holy #$% kinda rain, and my snow bank outside the house went from 10-11 feet high ( I'm not kidding) to about 4-5 feet at the highest parts. Heck my back yard actually was mostly grass for about a week. Couldn't beleive it.

Of course, the last 2 weeks have been the opposite. Getting snow all over again, but it's still not the same height it was. Just f'n cold here lately. Unusually cold, 20 below every night without the windshield, -35 to -40 with....brrrr.

I hate winter, I miss washing my car, I miss my racing harts, I miss chicks wearing skimpy clothes....ummmm..ooppss...., and I miss HEAT!

Good thing I don't have the speed yet, as it's been a really bad winter here again.

My friend has a digital camera. I'll ask him to take a few shots of the grey when we go to the show this Saturday.
I can't wait to see it myself! Maybe I'll get lucking and they'll let me sit inside it too.
Do the 2003.5's have the same stereo as the 2003's, or is it a different head unit?
