Hey everyone, Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Lorenzo, I own a 94' BMW 530i and a 88' 635csi. I'm from Vancouver, BC. I have always been a fan of Mazdas, as my dad (also a Car enthusiast) has owned a 00' MPV since new. I kind of lurked around on MPVClub.com forums just to see what the crazy Japs are doing to that platform. I decided to sign up here as my dad recently purchased a 2015 CX-9 GS AWD, and have already found some valuable information (uh oh transfer case problems...) that helped us with the purchase (lol extended warranty). Hope to be active on here, seems like a great community - Glad to be apart of a well known Mazda forum, as well as a well known BMW forum (Bimmerforums). I can honestly say they are very similar brands.
The MPV has been a true testament of reliability for the brand, My dad has daily driven this thing for 15 years and done 312,xxx KMS (Still going!) with absolutely no catastrophic failures. A window regulator was probably the most expensive repair. We have been to California and back, Oregon and back and various Cross Province road trips.
As much as I love old BMW's, my first love was the Mazdaspeed 6. Still on the bucket list of cars to own.
Enough talk, here are the boring family haulers that I am very proud to own in the family...
2000 MPV LX in Sand Mica & 2015 CX-9 GS in Meteor Gray Mica. 15 years & 312,xxx KMS apart. Bought at same dealer, both on my Mothers Bday.
Protecting the paint with Macguires Cleaner Wax & Yellow Wax... made sure they didn't wash it upon arrival to dealer.
