TomTom Critical Update

Just plugged my SD card into my computer this morning and a notice came up that said, 'A critical update of TomTom Home is being downloaded'. This isn't the normal screen that comes up with a selection to choose to update. I'm on a painfully slow connection, so will update more later. Also, just plugged it in about 3 weeks ago, so it's a recent update.

edit: It's not a big download because it didn't take long.

I think it is just a new version of TomTom Home and will not impact the car GPS. Hopefully it corrects some bugs that sometimes mess up the SD card...

yeah my sd card got dicked up too, but after the tomtom home update, lost my 'home' my favorites, and my history

i could choke some tomtom engineers...
dumb swedes...

Ok this is going to sound a little dumb but where's the SD card located? I haven't had the need to look for it before, so if guys could tell me I would appreciate it :) Thanks in advance!

My wife and I are looking at getting a GPS system. We're going to be going to Europe next summer and want to be able to use them there as well (even if we have to buy Euro maps). How do you like your TomTom and have you used it overseas? I've had a Garmin in the past and had really good luck with that.

My husband and I went to Spain this summer, drove all over the north of Spain [in a nice little BMW rental :)] - Bilbao, Pamplona, San Sebastian - using Garmin with maps of Spain purchased separately and downloaded into a microSD card. Never once did we get lost, so highly recommend. We prefer Garmin over TomTom, which we had in the past and were getting continually frustrated with it. Just my 2 cents.

Lower left corner. There's a little sliding door you need to push over to expose it:
