are you having many problems with the stalling issu. it seems that a lot of member have this bov, and i was just curious to how it did vented to the atmosphere. the only problems i encountered when i vent my bpv was stalling at idle while coming to a stop. i think this could be minimalized as loong as the bov stays completely closed in vacum. does anyone know if the type s operaqtes this way?
thanks

no it leaks and when u stop say at a light then your will have a high chance of stalling. i recirculated mine and it seems fine now.
i left it venting for like a day and i couldnt handle all the stalling and s***

i have mastered the art of not making it stall....haha..the trick is, DONT punch it and then let it blow off and then back off the throttle and just let it go to idle..cuz it will just keep fluttering open and closed untill it stalls like its choking the motor... the thing to do is when u rev it, just like, leave it in gear after u let off the gass and it blows off..then the bov closes..then u can take it out of gear..and let it idle...when u are pushin it hard and flyin through the gears.....u dont have to worry about it stalling...if u are backing up or just moving a little bit then just go and when u take your foot off the gas or push in the clutch..hold the gas a little and let the car idle at like 1,100-1,300 rpms...then let it go...it takes some getting used to but i got used to it after a week and havnt stalled since

i would go through all that trouble if the sound venting was nice but it sound almost the same as recirculating.
the sound is straight up wack except the lil silent whistles like 2-3 seconds after the turkey

This is GHOST,
I just installed the Greddy and i dont get a whistle, all I get is the fluttering turkey sound. What do you guys think the problem is??

dont run Greddy =) run hks ssqv will not stall while sitting still and have never stalled but when going from 5,000 rpms straight to neutral! and venting to atmospher. anything under 5000 will vent and hks closes right up

nice (thumb). but now that you've given birth to a turkey, who knows? OrangeMSP was running a t3/t04e on his msp and apparently had no turkey. could be the wastegate, could be compressor surge. did you mess around with your bov settings?

the greddy should not leak if tuned properly.

i just installed my greddy type s today...and i got some stalling issues...i tightened all the way down on the screw and i am still stalling...

would turning up the idle stop the stalling issues, or do we have to wait for a way to kill the mass air flow censor?

mosquito - i guess you could turn the idle up (one member posted this option a while back...i think it was a turbo p5 owner). but the car was idling really high, like 1500. i don't know if that's the best thing for the car.

titangray - go watch f&f1 again. the "turbo eclipse" uses it. little beavis also posted some sound clips from his turbo mp3. you can also visit www.blowoffvalves.com and they have lots of recordings there.

lol the same eclipse that in real life was not even turbo.......if u look close when they do a close up of paul walker u can see the factory header of a "gs" is stil on there.......lol just FIY :) anyway, the hks is more a ppphhhssssssiiiiii then a turkey right? all thought this was on my buddies supra.......i heard the hks bov leaks like a moffo.....i want a blitz or apexi or greddy if im tite on cash

greddy doesnt leak at all...just going to recirculate it untill spool conmes out with their ecu thing...thank god for settlement checks!!!!

the hks shouldn't leak. many supras use this bov without problems. but i'm with you on the blitz :) that's the one i want.
