My situation is... that my old company I use to work for has offered me a position back with them. I would lose a few things, like my neighbors, friends, the 3 years I have been at this same property. People have a lot of respect for me around here. But on the other hand, I would make $2.00 more dollars an hour and get paid every week, instead of every two weeks. Also, the staff is huge so I would definitly being doing less work for more money. I still get to keep my free rent, but I would have to move 30minutes north of where I am now. What would you do? Just need some advice...thanks Oh yeah, if I decide to take the job, ihave to let them know tomorrow, so hurry up and post!

i say go for it, its more money and less work, and you said youd only be about 30 minutes from your old house so you can still visit your old friends.

No Brainer

Look man it is only 30 min away its not like it is a couple states or something. Also you may not even have to move.. Who says you have to move up there why cant you stay where you are and just commute to work everyday, millions of people do it everyday. Also less work for more money is always better. New excperiances are how we better ourselves. I think you should move. But I do have a sort of question as to why do they want you back. Did you leave the first time or did they fire you cause if they fired you I would say f-them. They can get some other sucker to move 30 min away for a lousy two bucks....:p

They had sold the property I worked for to another company. That was a year ago. I stayed with the new one for the seperation bonus and got my mp3. The new compnay hooked me up right quick with a free place, but now the old ones want me plus an extra $2.00. Lots to think about!!! It just ain't right I gotta have an answer by tomorrow

Go where you will be happy... Money isn't everything.... I decided to lose $10 000 a year cause my old work was s***.. migraines complaining all the time.. it's just not worth it... money does put a smile on people's faces.... but less headaches and complaining is worth much more to me.....

if it's the same job, less work and more pay and benefits.. do it up...

Make the move, that is how jobs are now a days...if you got to relocate for the dough do it. Change is good if your gonna make more green. You can always hang out with your pals. Plenty of time for that. But if you have called where you are currently residing, home, then stay with the new. I know if I didn't have to help any family member or have any other obligation to where I currently live or work I would move for a better position. Take care and hope you are satisfied with whatever you decide.

thanks everyone so far...i need more input, im going to my current employer tomorrow morning, and telling them that if they cant give me a free TWO bedroom,(one br now...), plus at least another dollar, im out...ill go with the oter company in a heartbeat.more input...

I think you have a good plan....give your current employer an opportunity to "belly up to the bar" and dig in their pockets.....

also think about the LONG RANGE plan....if you made the move....do you think they would be keeping you for the long haul? if so.....it sounds like the new/old job is the way to go....and like everyone else said.....its only 30 minutes....geeeez for me thats just around the corner! go for it...

WELL FOLKS...

i declined the awesome offer( mostly because they wanted me to ditch one of my dogs), and my current employer thing fell through too, not only is it a ****hole...but they wasted my whole day running bulls*** doorknob, and water leak service calls...and NOONE SHOWED UP to talk money.

*looks like im stuck here for a while longer...:(

Sorry to hear that it fell through Derrick. Something new will come up again, just when you least expect it! Hang in there, and in the meantime, enjoy the forum! :)
