Greetings d00des!

I'm new to these parts. I've been lurking around for a month or so while my account status was in purgatory for whatever reason, I spose the owners are/were busy.

I'm new to mazdaraties, I was actually a honda accord driver for a long time. I guess I like family cars, or maybe I'm weird. (dunno) Either way, I do love this car tho, it's a blast to drive. And this seems like a really cool community, which is more than I can say for most honda communities...

For those of you in the washington DC area, I'll see you at the Zoom Zoom live event next weekend. I'll be in one of the (many) red pro5's.

paul

Welcome. :) If you're a member of MSCW or thinking about joining, there is another red P5 that you will sometimes see there, otherwise it's 2 shades of blue and once a silver. The KB bushings are awesome and if you like a really low shifter, get the KB shifter too, otherwise check out the TWM or B&M. Look forward to meeting you at Zoom Zoom Live. :)

Useful information about our cars good! High school popularity contest, political horseshit, chat room nonsense, "my s*** is all superior to yours" & powertripping whoevers all suck ass, waste server resources & s*** on the primary purpose of this forum..................

Actually, i was supposed to be at the last MSCW meeting at t3h fudd, but I was in FL. I'll have to join later.

About the shifter, I don't want something where I'll be bumping my elbow against the 'arm rest', but I would like to have a shorter shift

Well, there is a tech night tonight at Rosenthal Arlington if you wanted to come down and check it out; I'm doing an oil change on one of the lifts there. Then at Zoom Zoom Live, they'll have a MSCW booth w/ literature and some members' cars on display.

Check out the B&M then, it's a bit more of a struggle to install (lube it up heavily) but the end result is a MUCH smoother setup. Shortest throw and tallest shifter. Height wise it's the same as a MSP (inch and a half? shorter) throw wise I'd say it's about half of stock. DEFINATELY short enough to avoid punching your slurpee.

As far as rep points, prettymuch all of it's worthless since someone started up a "rep-sharing" post and everyone prettymuch just tries to pump up their score. It's kind of about as useful as winning a game of solitare anymore.
