Just wondering do anyone know if Bridgestone makes a 215/45/18 tire that has better wear rating then the original tires on the Speed 6? After arguing with Mazda about my tires wearing out i phoned bridgestone and they sent me a coupon for 50% off new tires, no questions asked, didn't even ask me what type of car they were on. I priced the Bridgestone Potenza RE050 and at crappy tire, i mean Canadian tire they wanted $360/tire + tax and install so i'm looking for something a bit cheaper with better wear rating..

Thanks

I have been spreading this around a lot. Name brand tires are just that. A name brand. For the money you get just as good a tire with falken or khumo. The Ecsta SPT is the best for summer driving and the AST is best for all season.
They will cost less than half what the factory tires cost and give you better all around performance. Just may give up a little in wear. they won't last as long...

.... Cheap? Yes, until you hit a pothole, and the 1-ply sidewalls crack causing sidewall bubbles.

I have owned in my lifetime prob 12 Kuhmos because every other month I was replacing a tire due to a sidewall bubble. I could not even tell you how the treadwear was because they never lasted that long.

The Falken's may be different though.
