Good price!(2thumbs)

Thanks! Unfortunately, those geniuses mistakenly sent me 245/45/r17. I got home yesterday and saw these huge bastard tires on my doorstep. (screwy)

They are kinda difficult to get in touch with. I sent them an email and called and left messages on two different peoples' phones. God I need to get this crap straightened out. Thanks a lot discounttire.com!

Oh, sorry to hear that. I thought you were getting them from a local Discount Tire store. You may actually try to take these tires to your local Discount Tire store to see if they can refund it and get you the right set of tires.

no wonder they were on close-out - look on your packing slip / invoice for returns or customer service numbers, let those honkie's know they screwed up

edit: did you call the number here? - http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/brochure/contact/tmpContact.jsp

Yea, I'm going to call that customer service number today. I got package 2 of 2 of my tires yesterday and the second package are the correct size. Hopefully I will only have to send back the first package (although they claim they sent me the last set of Ecsta ASX in this size). The people I got on the phone were very nice but they just directed me to the customer service number... ugh.

Man I told a coworker of mine and he was like "discounttire.com? they suck! they sent me the wrong s*** twice!". This is the guy who told me to go with them in the first place!

So I got in touch with customer service and they were really really nice. They are sending out the other two tires in the correct size and will pick up the wrong sized tires from my doorstep tomorrow.

I guess they suck at getting you the correct tire but they're cool as hell about fixing the problem.

195/50-16's were hard to come by and expensive. 205/50's were nearly plentiful and I even went with H rated to help cushion the NYC roads of pot hole hell. The Kumho's I got are excellent in the rain, corner the same and ride quiet. I suppose back to back the V and higher rated tires would show a cornering difference, but the MP5 will never go above H rated speeds and the dog in the back will bite if I throw him around too much. They look nice, fill the wheel wells a bit and cost nearly $100 less for the bunch. Discount Tire was my supplier. No noticeable change in fuel economy or speedo accuracy with the wider tires.
