The point that kills me though is the oil change verification. Granted, I understand it's a means to cover their ass, but making owners, specifically enthusiast owners feel like ignorant people is a real easy way to piss them off. Personally, I won't pay them to touch my car, since I've seen some of the half-assed things that have been done by local dealers. The one dealer I'd even consider having touch my car is almost an hour away.
I think the point of all this is information. As a whole community, regardless of forums, we need to make sure that the situation is alleviated and our cars are built with the proper setups from here on out. If it's a TSB that takes care of it and people are properly warrantied, so be it. I hate to sound selfish, but as long as my car is running and I'm not forking out a ton of cash, I'm happy.
For those of you with blown motors, I sincerely pray you were wise enough to pull parts off the car before taking it in. At least the really questionable ones that are big no-no's from a dealer's eyes.
