Tire size question.

According to Yokohama, http://www.yokohamatire.com/utrimwidth.asp
"Failure to follow rim width recommendations may result in poor tire performance or possible wheel and/or tire failure."

Exactly. Why take the risk of traveling down the road and having a tire fail. That could result in a crash which could seriously injure or kill yourself and others around you. If you want to get a wider tire, buy the appropriate rims please. Thanks.

Thanks a lot for all the help. I have made up my mind. I am going to go with the 205/40/16 Yokahama Avid H4S. This tire is insane with a treadware of 500. Thanks again.

I wouldn't I've seen Kumho's fall apart on a track. I'm planning on getting some new tires soon. I was looking at the 215/45/16's but I think I'll play it safe and go with the 205/45's. That or get a set of rims and call it a day.
