They really do fit on the 2 eh?
for tail lights you could try vynle , not sure if you feel like giving it a shot yourself or not , my gf did a red vynle over her taillights on her mazda 3 , just posting pics so you get the idea but you could give it a shot with darker tint (plus side is it wouldnt be permanent so if you don't like it peel it off ) plus the mazda 2 tails seem to be pretty simple mostly flat surface
This is my car with the Headlights and taillights tinted:

I bought the kit from RVinal on eBay, here is the link:

The service was good and shipping was quick, I would recommend them... Good Luck (2thumbs)
I have better pics if I can ever get around to posting them... Stupid work taking up all my time!
4 or 5 coats of automotive clear with black mixed in, then 2 coats of straight clear.
Meh. To each their own, you can always sand it off and reclear so it's REALLY permanent. I have the pics on my hard drive at home, I took pics with each light on but I did it into the sun, which is the worst condition you could have really (on purpose).Wait, you painted your taillights? Why not just buy some tint and a heat gun? Paint seems to permanent.
How are the reverse lights, can we get a picture of that?
