tinted / smoked out lights...

Hi. Just joined the site and noticed no one responded to this thread. I found these smoked sidemarkers on eBay. I used them on my 08 Mazda 3 and liked them. Best part is that you can change the bulbs. Added some LEDs and they fit perfectly on the Mazda 2.

For the headlight/tail lamps, haven't seen any good options yet...but bought some tinted protectors for the fog lights from lamin-x.com. They have the tint for the head/tails too.

Hope this helps and nice to meet you.

For a follow up for the eBay link above. Fast shipping, new parts are nice quality, and an appearance mod can't get easier than just popping out the old one and popping in the new one :D
Also thanks for the reassurance on the fit MazdaTwo ;)

for tail lights you could try vynle , not sure if you feel like giving it a shot yourself or not , my gf did a red vynle over her taillights on her mazda 3 , just posting pics so you get the idea but you could give it a shot with darker tint (plus side is it wouldnt be permanent so if you don't like it peel it off ) plus the mazda 2 tails seem to be pretty simple mostly flat surface

I bought the kit from RVinal on eBay, here is the link:

The service was good and shipping was quick, I would recommend them... Good Luck (2thumbs)

I have better pics if I can ever get around to posting them... Stupid work taking up all my time!

4 or 5 coats of automotive clear with black mixed in, then 2 coats of straight clear.

Wait, you painted your taillights? Why not just buy some tint and a heat gun? Paint seems to permanent.

How are the reverse lights, can we get a picture of that?

Meh. To each their own, you can always sand it off and reclear so it's REALLY permanent. I have the pics on my hard drive at home, I took pics with each light on but I did it into the sun, which is the worst condition you could have really (on purpose).

Crazy question..could I just buy some cheap Walmart window tint and put it on my lights, and if I don't like it or it gets faded just remove it?

You would need to be a +50 in the skills dept. Precuts are shaped to form to the taillight casing making it look smooth and seamless. I could be wrong......I'm deciding between trying to tint out the tails or go with that smoked out set from eBay other members have here...

if you do get crafty with it, post pics! ;P
