timing belt

When should i change the timing belt on my p5. The dealer says 60K but i know most of the new cars today do require it till like 100k +. Just wondoring cuz my car is at 59K right now and did not know if i should save some money.

my car's at the same place, except +10k miles. and i still need to get my timing belt done, and i'm hoping my roommate will.

so you're prolly ok putting it off for a while, because i drive my p5 like s***.

We just had a big discussion on this last week. Check out this thread: Timing Belt. The manual says 105,000 miles.

i'm at 165+k's on mine and have not changed yet, and still running very good. (knock on wood)

Mine is at 172K, still going strong.. still needing the belt change, still knocking on wood.
