I currently have the Kuhmo 711s. Treadwear seems to be excellent. At 6k miles there is no noticible wear at all. My old SPs would have been about 1/3 down by now. Tires are about as grippy as the Dunlops, and the noise isn't bad at all. All around I would give this tire an 8.5. Wet grip isn't what the Dunlops was, but at 1/3 the price, what can I expect?!
As for grippy tires, go for Kuhmo MXs. From what I've heard, they put the Azenis to shame. A little more $$, but a lot better tire, and they are rumored to get better with both time and temperature.
The 712s are also a good tire. I've known a lot of people that like them.
You may also look into the Bridgestone Pole Position SO3s. They are amazing.
Good luck finding an Azenis that fits, let alone that's not on back order. They are getting overwhelmed with orders and are hard to get right now, and with SCCA Solo II Nationals coming up, I can't imagine the wait getting better any time soon.
Good luck! Let us know what you decide on.
