ok i noticed this when i got the wastegate a long time ago. why is it like that? the wastegate i had a while back was dif. it covered the whole area nicely. with tial it causes a leak since the thing doesnt seal all the way. i highlighted the area in red so everyone knows what i am talking about.

I have a Tial 35mm and it seals perfectly, I don't understand what your picture is. Can you please try again, we will get you an answer.

eh i will try to get some pics. well i think i will get some new gaskets first.
I'm running without gaskets. The parts are mathced and polished. Unless you have done someting to them, they should make a seal even without the gasket. My gasket burnt up and then stopped sealing.

Try it without if you think the surfaces are undammaged..

Tial Products are excelent and very high quality. The body is cast stainless steel and should not warp. If you have a gasket blown is because the flange is not flat or the bolts came loose. I use them without gaskets with machined flanges and work good with no leaks.

Make sure the flange is flat and use it without gasket and if you are returning to the exhaust, make sure you have a flex pipe in between as the parts will expand and contract at different rates.

are you talking about the metal ring? you ahve to shove it in there prior to install and make sure it doesnt fall out when you install the WG.

Not the ring, There is a gasket that comes with the set, It's metal and some other material. It fails quite often and is not required to make a nice seal.

yeah couldnt get pics. man i should have taken them when i had it off. the only thing is that if the dumptube was not connected it sounded like a diesel truck. the thing is that when i had my old one it didnt sound loud until boost. since the diaphram opened up. i will try to get them next week.

Mine vents to nothing, I love the sound when you hit max boost. It's jike Jekel and Hyde!

Pls help me on this. My boost control with haltech is bad.
I think i got problem with the hose hook-up. Diagram supplied by tial , is some what confusing.

There are two spots that can be hooked to a Vac line on the Tial, the one on the top is not used. The one near the bottom is hooked to the pressure side of the turbo plumbing and the boost controller normally goes in between these two parts, in line...

hmmmm...i thought so! tial diagram is misleading.
thanks.

Kasman,

Just run it the same way the IHI actuator was. Run a vaccum line from the compressor or any charge pipe into the bottom port of the solenoid(the one with the restrictor inside), then from the other port into the wastegate port on the side(not the top) of ther Tial wastegate and the longer port of the solenoid is left venting into the atmosphere.

yes, it is working now TQ.

pls check your PM.(poke)

I am having the same problem with my Tial 38mm Wastegate, and Haltech Boost Control Solenoid. Kasmankk, do you have pictures of how you routed your vac lines to your Tial?

EDIT: Ok, I found a picture of your setup, but I can't see exactly where each line is going:

Ok, I figured it out. Just like Juan said to do. I will post a picture of my setup when I get my hands on my camera.

top port of wg, vents to atm
bottom port of wg goes to left port of solenoid

center port of solenoid goes to turbo pipe
right port of solenoid vents to atm
