Still tire shopping for my 2021 CX-5, staying with stock size. Suggestions?

Post resurrection. My Altimax RT43's now have over 70k miles on them. While perfectly worn on all 4 corners, the time has come to replace them (first time I've ever hit 70k miles on ANY tire I've ever owned). These tires have been fantastic - numerous long family trips, every possible type of weather. Has anyone run the RT45's for a significant number of miles? How are they holding up?

Didn't put that many miles on my RT43's before I needed to replace them. They still had tread left, but were starting to hit the "dry rot" period so I replaced them last May. I went to look at how they were holding up and you could rub the rubber a bit with your finger and it was rubbing off. So it was replacement time. I want to say I bought them in 2018 and so they otherwise served their purpose well.

Back then, the Generals were considerably cheaper than other options (at $100 to $110 a tire for 225/65/17). These days I think they aren't that much cheaper than some of the name brand stuff, especially if there are rebates / deals going on so I ended up not considering the new RT45's.

I have the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 tires on now and am extremely happy with them and they are a noticeable step up in overall performance over my old RT43's. The grip these things maintain when / if I take a corner slightly too fast is awesome.
