Now when you say "mean" I'm assuming you mean that it accentuates the growl thats already there correct? I can't imagine that the factory MS3 exhaust is really that much louder than the 5s. I just want to avoid the "Bought it at Pep-Boys and put it on myself" sound that is rampant in this part of the country. BTW I think the 2.3 MZR has the sexiest intake noise of anything this side of a HPA VR6.

When I switched from factory exhaust to longtube headers/offroadX/Magnaflow catback on my 2003 Mustang GT I gained 19hp/23ft lbs torque. I can't see much more than 5-7 hp/ 6-8 tq from our little 4cylinder.

i really have no intention of strapping my family car to a dyno, no offense i will say you are likely spot on with your estimates based on what i've seen on proteges. if you find dynos of mazda3s with a header thats pretty much what to expect.

Awww c'mon Capt.! You can make your family car sound "Mean" but you won't strap it to a dyno? JFWY.... I would love to hear some sound clips though.

an extension for the secondary o2 sensor will work, it just needs to be thr right size
