AEM C.A.I.
Guys, I need some help. I was looking through a bunch of sites last week and I thought I found some throttle bodies for the 3, however I never wrote it down so I have no idea where it is and I cant find any now. Can someone please through some info this way, thanks in advance!

PS-Does anyone know if when you install a larger throttle body, are there any issues with connecting a CAI to it? Or is that part of the throttle the same size. I have a AEM CAI and its a snug fit on the OEM throttle body, wondering whats up.

PPS-I've seen the thread on grounding the throttle body, and plan to do so with the NEW throttle body....just in case anyon ewas goin gto post that as an alternative mod-thanks!

You saw a larger TB for the 3? (scratch) Okay...

Anyway, a larger TB will have a larger inlet size, so the AEM adapter will probably not fit. Shouldn't be a big trick to find one that does fit, though. Call AEM and tell them the size of your new inlet and they should be able to hook you up with a new adapter. If the new TB is the same size as the CAI pipe (within a mm or 2), you can just use a piece of large-diameter hose.

I thought I found some throttle bodies for the 3,

Thats what I'm trying to find out. The search was for the 3, but on alot of sites if they dont have the part for your car they show other applications...either way I want to bring this to a conclusion. Also, there are others that claimed that Marcymotorsport & corksport came up with them, but I dont see it.

N/A Parts

Sorry that I misinformed you earlier TGV. I thought that I had saw a throttle body out for the 3 but I can't seem to find it anymore either. I did find some parts though. At corksport there are the Cosworth Aluminum intake manifold, forged connecting rods, lightweight forged pistons, and Eibach EVS Valve Spring Kit. At Marcy Motorsports there is everything that you could imagine including blocks, heads, camshafts, headers, exhaust, and I know that they are working on a turbo kit also. They also have many other things available.
Here are the links to the sites. The corksport one should be a direct link to what I was talking about and the Marcy Motorpsort link should be so that you are able to find your way around easy enough.

Good Luck and I hope that this helps you out.

No problem. I got your PM also, thanks. I checked these out already but thanks again.

PS-Not sure if you saw this post...BUT grounding the throttle body helps w/ the response. I was skeptical, but tried it last nite and you can feel less dealy...not more power, just a little less delay..but its 5bucks, 10minutes so well worth it IMHO
