Those with Perrin exhausts READ THIS

Since Perrin is not going to be making a DP for their exhaust, I think all of us with the exhaust should get together and get the specs for GHL to make us an S-pipe. Looking at their S-pipe, if a little bit is cut off and a flange welded on it looks like it will fit perfectly. We would need to work out something to get the fit and the welding of the flanges (maybe through **********?), but if we do this together maybe we can get a deal. Just starting this this thread to guage some interest. Reply if you are interested and with your ideas.

I live in Tampa so I can't stop by. However, I haven't installed my exhaust yet and it should be here early next week. I'd be willing to ship my midpipe (or whatever is needed) out there so they can mess with it. I'm in no rush so hopefully we can get some more people in for a gb.

I already have the ghl but I think this is a great idea for all of you with the perrin... let's have some more support huh people?

I spoke with Cullen of Street Unit today and he said they are currently developing a dp that will work with our exhausts(hopefully done by Feb). He also said if that falls through that he already deals with GHL and he would help set up a way to get their dp and our midpipe flanged.

I talked to him too. I will wait for his deal because he has been great at getting things together. This thread could at least show him that there is interest to make it worth his time.

Post a picture of the Perrin Exhaust, all we want to do is build so if there is something a bunch of you guys want then dont hesitate to ask.

if it can bolt to a thermal R&D 3" exhaust then I'm in.

there is something we all want, and you came close.we want a S-pipe that can fit stock location.=)

or a S-pipe DP combo that can bolt to a different exhaust, not just yours

All they are is 3" exhausts that mate up with the flange of the stock DP (S/J-pipe). Your S-pipe with a flange welded on that was in the same location as the stock J-pipe flange would work.

Just to throw this out there for you or anyone else, if your willing to remove the flange on your J pipes I can flare the S pipe so it will fit over your J pipe.

Bump for somebody to take a picture of the Perrin mid-pipe connected up to the stock J-pipe. My Perrin pipe is off at Perrin getting fixed and having an O2 bung welded on or I would.

Sounds like things are moving...I know there are more of us out there with the Perrin exhaust. When my exhaust gets here next week I will ship what ever is needed to make this happen.

People aren't seeing this because of the subforums. I can't remember who has the Perrin exhaust. I'll check around. I'm sure the more of us the better the price.

Something like this can also possibly work with the corksport exhaust and some custom exhausts. I know a friend at my school who has a custom 3" exhaust that bolts up to the stock s/j pipe and he wants to get that replaced with the GHL pipe. I told him the only way to get that done is to order the GHL S pipe and cut it and weld a flange so it would bolt up directly, which I think is what everyone wanted anyways.

Also, subforums suck balls, real bad. I think it needs to be put back to the way it was before because no one posts in here anymore.

Actually, you might be right. This might bolt up to the corksport exhaust. If the corksport mounts to the stock j-pipe same as the Perrin. The only difference would be a reducer just like they offer on their DP/mid-pipe combo from 3" to 2.5". Bump for more corksport owners to show interest in getting a full turbo-back.

no!do it so it can bolt up to apex DP

If you've ever actually looked at the amount of space the s pipe has to exist you'll see that it'd be damn near impossible to make a replacement s-pipe thats any larger than the stock piece. The only way to get it done is to replace the s and j pipes so it will connect to where the perrin and corksport exhausts mount up. So basically, it'd be the same as the existing GHL Downpipe, only minus the cat section, but with a flange there instead where it would meet up with the stock cats.
