i just think dynoing is fun
hehehe
My dyno place lets me drive my own car. I would never let someone else run my car up to redline and beyond. No way, no how. I know some places won't let you drive your own. I would just have to find somewhere else to go. I mean, one guy on here posted his dyno results, I asked him what gear they were done in, and he said the guy at the dyno had never done a 4 cylinder fwd car before, so he did it in FIRST gear!! Holy sh!t!!mp5jeff said:i also don't trust the operators of dynos, which is another reason i won't go on one.
You agree to dyno your car, and it goes boom, it's your fault every time. You automatically waive the operators liability by paying him to dyno your car. This is not an emissions test, and there's a reason the factory puts a fuel/ignition cut. It's assumed that every engine is capable of running to fuel cut, and if for some reason your's isn't, it's not the tech's fault. If you're worried about blowing your engine, you've picked the WRONG hobby my friend... If Im going to be out 5 grand for a rebuild, I dont want to think that maybe it was someone elses fault. I drive = I pay for destruction. Maybe the dyno guy takes it 200 rpm too far by accident? You pay.
just my opinion
