This thing is not useless!

Yes the vents can close completely or be controlled as needed. Rear vents. The cubbie slot is a mini glove compartment style door. Essentially all window switches are lit. This is on the Touring model. The Mazda6 is a very underrated car. Any household already with a CX-5 should consider it if shopping for a 4-door sedan. You can even cross shop it with entry level luxury cars like an ILX or IS250 which I actually did.

If only they offered the wagon here....(sad1)

I have the control box/Bluetooth, from my Escort Redline radar detector in there.

I wonder if I could fit a trailer brake controller in there....?

Just goes to show the stupidity of a large percentage of our population.

Only Subaru has cracked the mainstream market for wagons in the US.

However, if you wanna go up-market, you have: Volvo, BMW, Mercedes and Audi who all offer wagons of some sort. Even Porsche is going to offer a wagon in the near future.

The more "well-off" have plenty of choices!

That was my dilemma before buying the CX5. Given the Opel sale, I am skeptical of the Buick Regal wagon being here at all or for long. And even though I'm in my 40's, don't think I'm ready to be seen in a Buick yet. I did give the Ford Flex serious thought but worried about the upkeep cost with more expensive tires and filing it with gas.

Yeah that air's too rarefied for me to be shopping in.

6 wagon with the diesel and a stick would be my ideal vehicle. I'm apparently on the wrong continent.

So there's nothing there?

Totally agree. I really didn't want a CUV/SUV, but apparently that's all manufactures want to sell us in the US.

I don't know how you do it 7.

Tried putting some coins in there and they went flying out when I accelerated from a stop.

You're on the front range, too, so can't blame it on mountains. :D
Hmmm... I keep throwing more change in there, still haven't lost any. Gotta be soon though. It's like one of those old arcade games where you keep dropping quarters until some get pushed off the edge. :D
Wife: Why are you punching it at every light?
uh... :D
