This is to all you HiBoost owners!!!

Hey...just wondering what you think of HiBoost on your 3? (obviously if you have it one....not wishing to have it,hehe)

Goon install? Decently not hard? 8-10 hours? How was tuning? Happy in your investment?(kinda stupid...but ya never know...)

Thanks

Sabio, this is to all hiboost owners. I really doubt that the guys with the hiboost turbos are sitting there thinking they bought a hass. They are different setups for different reasons. Stop ripping on a respectable vendor, especially with your 10th post. And to answer your question, HASS is another turbo set up that, yes does get more power. It costs more and the higher quailty parts comment that sabio made in the other thread is not true, the hiboost turbo is made with quality parts as well. Just think through why your getting your turbo before you buy one, dont only look at number or only at driveability or only at price.

ahh... 10th post means I know nothing... is this where I bow down to your 63rd post?

never said a word against Juan.

Is the Hass evan ready? Last I heard the guy that bought the first one doesn't have his car up and running, and that was about a month ago. They didn't have the wiring for the emanage or some bs like that.

Don't hate me, but lets get more infor on this Hass system, but just do so in another thread. That's not what this one is for.

just a polite word to sabio if i may...

i'm not contributing to this site enough but i like and respect 99.9 percent of people's views and have learned a lot.

i hope i don't violate forum protocol or tarnish its image by saying the following, with all due respect of course:

Sabio, I don't like your face. I have seen too much of it and it never shuts up. The people you mess with on here are likely 10 times more educated than you are on the subject. It may do you some good to shut up and learn something in here rather than runnin' your mouth blindly just to make the environment more hostile simply for the sake of it. If not for many of these guys (and some girls too, im sure), I would still be an egotistical moron like you.
Welcome to the forum.

Pretty easy install. There are a few on both forums that can help you out if you have questions.

I need alittle tuning with the 3" exhaust. But tuning is not that hard to do and most tuner shops with a dyno should know how to tune it pretty easy.

I'm happy with it. It is extremely fast and a well built kit.

As for the HASS kit by Sabio:

It could make a good comparison if it was finished and for sell as a complete kit. Being how there is only one complete kit out there that is running and another one that was sold without instructions is not a good mark to try to compare. Not to mention it is still yet to be running!

Like TM3 or T.O.P :)

yeah whatever... so pardon my ignorance guys....

HASS? what goes on there? (should this be in a separate thread?). while i am confident that hiboost makes a sick kit (so many stellar reviews) i am also curious. i have finally decided to go N/A afterall but info is good regardless.(RTM)

Just look what we have done with the Proteges. We have the fastest proteges with the least investment with very good quality components on the basic kit. There are members here running our kit for almost 3 years with no or minor issues with their cars. Same products are used in the Mazda 3 with even better components included in the kit, like injectors, bigger intercooler and top quality BOV to name a few.

Our kits are built to last and to give you lots of fun. There are guys who want more, but then, the risk to blow parts is there, unless you prepare for it like going forged before uping the boost.

hey juan, i have been told several times over that your kit (the one people are buzzing about thats roughly 4k) is pretty much ready to run (?)... that being said, lets say for a minute that i really did want to go turbo... there is no neccessity to upgrade any other parts other than whats in the kit to maintain safe reliable power? yes, there is a risk in everything, i understand that too (as any product distributer would say), but i am just curious. thanks.

+ 3" exhaust, and then

+ bigger brakes

+ mazdaspeed suspension bits 'n pieces

cuz you KNOW you're gonna push it hard and you're gonna want to be able to control it

+ trans. upgrades (oh wait that's just me and my atx :( )

and then to be safe,

+ rods and pistons (and crank and head is still stock if i remember right?)

If 250 WHP is good enough for you, there is no other upgrades necessary. The kit is ready to go as everything comes in it. There are over 20 kits sold in one year and have been installed by the people themselves. The ones running the 8 psi at 250 whp are working very good as there has been some other guys turning up the boost, going 3 inch exhaust and lightweight clutches who have had issues with the motor or tranny. So my advise is to leave everything stock, add the turbo and enjoy. Then if you want more, just the forged internals will allow you to run 300 WHP daily with no isuues at all.

Juan

that does sound like a tasty deal indeed... for me, i would be content with 230-250 very nicely... until i decide i want to eat some bits of STi for breakfast, but yeah.

i still am leary of boost (that's just me and i am SURE that your product is one of extreme quality- don't get it twisted) only because of reliability of the motor. despite a higher cost with less output, an N/A setup that pushes 200-ish at the wheels probably a bit less, with rock solid confidence seems more plausible...

...but you are fairly confident that an atx 2.3 (i assume less risky cuz of the "no launch" design...poop) with stock internals would still be happy and comfy riding with 230-250?

hmm....
