Think this Tint shop is legit?

and you also have to remember how many shops are in an area that do tint, the more shops the cheaper they'll have to be to be competitive.

A retail place around me will do illegal, but make you pay cash and won't give you a receipt...therefore no warranty.

yeah, they told me that before when i was getting the pro tinted, but never went through with it, this time they didn't even mention it

A buddy of mine had 5% on his Jetta, that was crazy to see out of. I think if I get tint the lowest I'll go is 15%

Damn all these prices seam a lil steep to me, are u guys putting gold tints on??. i mean i got mines done at a shop by my house here in hialeah for $$100 bucks and it came out perfect. i mean how hard is it 2 put on a lil film on the window for them 2 charge so much. and my tints are 5%

Once again, different tints cost different prices people.

I had 35% Suntek put on mine for $125 with a lifetime warranty. So far, so good.

on my old p5 everyone qouted me 275 to strip off the old crappy silverish tint and put on new.

The tint on my '01 Ram pickup is still going strong at six years. It was razor-cut. The job cost $110. My '88 Chevy's tint job still looked good when the truck was over eight years old -- no bubbles and no purple. It's ammonia-based glass cleaner that maked turn purple and it's incompetent installers that make it bubble.

They cut the stuff on the outside of the window, not the inside. No risk at all for the defroster. The antennae are on the outside of the car, so that isn't a risk. The visor tint doesn't block the radar detector, so it works very well.

How do you see at night ??? I have 5% on my rear window but 30% everywhere else and its sometimes difficult to see when its dark and raining. I paid 129$$ at ARTECH in Dallas TX with lifetime warrany.

I actually don't have any problems as long as there are street lights. I had 20% on my RSX so I guess I'm used to it being pretty dark... I've yet to drive with the 5% in the rain, but hopefully it shouldn't be too bad.

in NY i paid $160 for my 7 windows. 20 on the back 5 and 30 on the front 2
but that seems to be the average price around here for tints
and if they end up fading or turning purple..ill have them removed and replaced!

I paid $169 for 20% all around & a glare strip this past Friday. Shop owner has been tinting my cars for 20 years, and since I refer him so much work, he gives me a bit of a break. Said it would have been closer to $200.

He's not the cheapest in town, but he is competitive. I might have gotten it done for a little less elsewhere, but then I'd likely be getting low quality tint, or low quality workmanship.

I would imagine that FL (where I am) and SoCal would have similar pricing for tint, but I'd check with other shops & get recommendations from locals. Especially from people who have kept the tint on their cars for 5+ years to see how it held up.

i paid 120 for my tint 5 years ago, still looks as black as when i got it.....

I think I paid $300 OTD for LLumar tint 7 windows. It was a little more than some other shops, but I felt the guy would do a much better job. I think I visited 4-5 shops before I decided. Shop around and take a look at the person's work. San Diego would have lots of options. Oh, and I've heard Johnson sucks. Do a little research on the brands of tint as well as the different shops. You know you've seen the bad tint jobs that turn purple and bubble up. Study up.

jason, i would just hit up one of hte local shops with a lifetime warranty.

i used mr tint in esco, and im pretty happy with heir work.

i used their escondido location and their temecula place and have been pretty satisfied. it's a little more than a lot of places that i've looked at, but i've read a lot of good reviews for them.

we had our mazda5 done @ mr tint based off friends recommendations, they do charge ~300 but they do a damn good job, lifetime warranty, and use pinnacle tint. i went with the ceramic based. i still need to get my ms3 done there. been lazy
