so here is mah story

im driving to one of our meets in miami and they notice my car smells like coolant we check it out , its coming out from the reservoir , so we pay no mine

so i drive to drop my girl home , i drive back to the meet its like a 18 or so mile drtive back and forth . so while im driving into the lot i notice my car is smoking a bit , coolant is everywhere my car is red line over heating . i shut the car off . the reservoir is melted . so alejo_nin who was at the meet said it was the thermo stat , replace it and the reservoir and you should be good . well today i went to advance and auto zone , they both give me different parts and auto zone gets me the wrong gasket

im lost confused , and pissed . any one have an anser the gasket looks like one that fits the exhaust mani . i used high temp silicone gasket and have the car without a reservoir at the moment , put coolant after i drained it . i turned it on , it stayed in good temp . never went over high , then it started to leak from the reservoir , oh forgot to mention that night at the meet a good friend out ours took us to walmart to buy a glue gun and coolant to seal the reservoir worked till i got hom . any one have any ideas ?? i wanted to buy this

i got a different one when i went to autozone too but its been in my car for months now ad no problems except it didnt look like any of the following<-----o p.s. ps3 is better lol

do you have pics of the one you have in your car by any chance , i doubt it but if you do it owuld help

Just get a Nippon G4000-102352. It looks exactly like the original stock
t-stat in mine. Gasket for it is on it and not a traditional style one like on other cars.

i just replaced mine, i went to advanced and the one they sold me was not the same but it worked perfect, it looks just like the one in the middle of your picture, also there is no gasket like boostr said

okay, the gasket they give, is it about 4inches round, if so, you dealt with a retard like i did, that gasket is for a spot just under your breather on the valvecover on the right side. and the autozone thermo is a failsafe one, and the one on the left in your picture is a cheapo. so your in the right and knowing to go with the middle one, and take the gasket back and throw it at them like a frisbee.....i did and im still laughing about it to this day > personally i went with a 160 degree failsafe from autozone. 2 dollars more and 20degree less operating temperature.

well i put the middle and the car is working had to buy the coolant reservior expensive but my car is running , turns out my fans relay went out , causeing my car to overheat , thermostat gave out , well you get the point
