the wierdest thing?!

I was driving in a highway..
Maybe the shaking was cause you were driving in the highway, rather than on it...lol;). It does sound like you fuel map may be messed up, I say, leave it alone for now, and just see if it keeps happening. It may be the heat causing it, but i dunno. It doesn't sound too serious....it may be a combination of things..ie. heatsoak, slightly messed up fuel map, a slightly soiled plug, and the just the right amount of bad gas, or boost leak etc...it has only happened twice, so it isn't anything to get too worried about, just keep an eye on it, and if it starts happening more often, get your mazda people to check it out. It prolly wont be throwing any codes or anything, cause like I said, it's prolly a combination of a few bizarre mess ups in the mazdaspeed creation...lol.

i have an injen cai.. but it has happened once before the cai was installed and once afterwards, so i dont think that has much of an affect on it.. yeah, i'll just leave it as something thats not too serious.. thanks all

It's not misfiring, It's not a fuel problem, It's not a broken suspension component, It's not something out of balence, It's not the MAF sensor, It's not the LSD, actually Itz_Alan had the answer the whole time, just didn't know it.

Let me explain, I was playin around with different setups on the stock bpv at work last week, I was trying to get the vehicle to run without stalling with the bpv venting to atmosphere. I was using different idle settings and trying to trick the car into giving it more fuel at idle (I know, I know, the last thing we need. lol.) Anyways at one point I had the car running pretty good with very little driveabiltiy problems, then I jumped on the highway and around 3-3.5k (when the car is starting to/making boost.) it started bucking like a bronco, let off the gas, and it was fine, got back on it and it was fine. I tried to make it do it again and I couldn't for the life of me. Then on the way back to the dealer it did it again. I immediatly pulled to the side of the road and checked under the hood. Guess what I found, the damn bpv had stuck itself wide open. I started the car again and checked it again and it had righted itself.
This, to me, sounds exactly like what Itz_Alan is experincing. It explains the only when open throttle, it explains the rpm range, it explains the sporadicness (is it a word?), and to me it sounds like the same type of complaint.

Of course never experienced it in his car but if I was a betting man............

My MSP experienced violent suddering when the IC pipe came loose from the turbo.
It was just barley off it was not that easy to tell looking at it but it made the car shudder horribly.

blkzoomzoom- how do you go about fixing it if it is indead that?

i too have had that prob and now my prob is that my car doesnt accelerate past 5k rpm... i am going through the gears and in third i reach 5k and its like its governed does anyone have some input also i have a weird noise hard to describe but it sounds like a honda reving its engine but really high piched

blkzoomzoom.. "bucking like a bronco"--> what a nice analogy.. seriously.. that has to be the best way to describe it.. i guess it sounds like my problem after all.. but like orng ms said.. how do we fix it?
