Errr it doesn't really look like it's a road...more like the middle of a park or yard or something. Talk about perfect timing on the shot tho...you can see the splash perfectly as she lands!

I think once a street hole is big enough to swallow up a car, it no longer qualifies as a "pothole". I wonder what caused this. And I don't think it's a park,, see the last pic, there is a sidewalk in the background next to the truck and ambulance, why would you need a sidewalk in a park...

That was caused by a broken water main. I've seen this happen before. Well not with someone stupid enough to attempt to drive over a broken water main but this is what happens.

When the underground water main ruptures, the water starts to lossen up and erode the dirt and rocks that are around it and that is what causes these type of sink holes. And when someone is dumb enough to drive over it when the rode/driveway is in this condition then presto chango there you have the disappearing car trick!!! HAHAHA!
