so who actually went to the meet? it was kinda terrible. ended up just hanging with the mazda movement people

I went, meet wasn't terrible, any large free meet is going to have problems, not V2's fault they raised prices last second,

I had a great time with my friends, didn't really park in a noticeable area and didn't run into any of the MM guys but I've been seeing some shots of me rolling around surfacing

We were at the closed publix right down the road. Sorry I didn't get to meet you. And I'm glad I never made it to the meet area

Who in here has a problem with bump steer? Cause mine recently got worse after I replaced a bent knuckle

Yes. Say you were going around a sweeping turn with a steady steering angle to the right, as you hit bumps the steering will kind of jerk itself back towards the right as the suspension compresses upward to compensate for the bump in the road. On a really bumpy race track at a high enough speed it almost feels to me like the front of the car is jumping to the left or right depending on the direction of the turn and the severity of the bump.

This article explains bump steer excellently from a suspension geometry perspective: http://www.circletrack.com/chassistech/ctrp_1001_bump_steer_explained/viewall.html

ahhh ok i always thought that was just an aspect of driving on an uneven surface, i didnt realize it can be adjusted with your suspension, crazy.

i dont have problems with it ak, but its def noticeable when i change uneven lanes and go over weird spots.

There is a road I take to go to work and the outside edge drops down pretty and then I hit an even spot and I shoot towards the center lines....
Can that and bump steer be adjusted with toe?

Adjusting the toe will not solve bump steer as it is caused by bad suspension geometry.

i had mad bump steer when my control arms were level or pointing up instead of the proper angle. I fixed it by raising the car so the control arms were at a better angle, not sure you can fix it and still have the stance on our cars without adjusting the control arm angles.

I have had bump steer I was on a bumpy road and I was just turning and the bump can make ur car shoot out or in depending how u hit the bump. I thought it was just haveing Really stiff spring rate

My buddy's VW i shot an edit for..
