The real Miles Per Galon

Usually the MPG ratings are on the safe side.
I'm hoping the Mazda 2 will achieve 40mpg under really controled driving.
Post your personal record MPG city and highway or miles to a tank.

It depends how you drive it.... :D

Last tank was 25 Liters and I passed 350km... that is 7.1L per 100km ... and that was mostly highway with speeds over 100km/h... + little city drive with big jams...

If you put pedal to the metal in a city I'm getting 8.1L average, but you can lower it on 7.5L

If you drive slower (around 100km/h) on open roads, you can get 6.5L average, and that is just ok for a small car... :D

When we had it, we got about the same economy as a Honda Jazz. Both AT. So the EPA city numbers are pretty representative. You can better the EPA numbers on the highway if you don't drive at 80 mph like everyone else does. (top gear, like most small Mazdas, is pretty short).

That was on BC or you have calculated, 'cause this is great consumption....

I have averaged mid 30s driving on the freeway at 75+MPH in a USA spec car. It is a touring 5 speed model.

We dynoed my car last week, 97 HP peak at the wheels.
