The Progression of my V.1 Street Sleeper Turbo build

Where did you get that ring gear and do you have a full straight cut gearset? Also what hardware are you using?

Edit: just want back and seen you have a full straightcut gearset. Is that a par ring gear? Custom ratio?

Well I finally got the head back from the machine shop. Stage III cams are in along with the Supertech goodies. Mild port work done, nothing extreme. Now to get the tranny built! :D

Well after a short hiatus the car went into the tranny shop yesterday for a PAR/M-Factory transplant. From there it will go directly to my builders shop to get the new head installed and then it goes on the rollers late next week. 1/4 mile coming shortly afterward. :D

I know about the broken gear, but why are you having to put just the stock third in now? Didn't you get a full par straight cut gearset?

We put the whole PAR install on hold due to time constraints and sorting out the syncro dilemma. Just put in the OEM 3rd to replace the broken one and get the car back on the road so it could get in for the head swap.

Got the old head off and found some serious piston damage. Waiting for some replacement ARIAS over-bores now.

I wouldnt go with arias again if your buying new pistons...heard a ton of horror stories about them breaking around the crown and the ring lands.

I've had good results with my Wiseco's and havent really seen anybody break one yet
